Michigan basketball traveled to Evanston Wednesday night to take on the struggling Northwestern Wildcats, but it was the wolverines who struggled early. The Wildcats got out to a hot start, and lead the Wolverines 44-35 at the half. To begin the second half Northwestern pushed their lead to as much as 16, Michigans largest deficit of the season. The lead was short lived, as the Wolverines stormed back thanks to a 22-4 run, making 11 straight baskets. Michigan spread the wealth offensively, Yaxel Lendeborg had 15 to go along with 12 rebounds, Aday Mara followed with 12 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists and 3 blocks. Sophomore L.J Cason paced Michigan with 18 points off the bench. The Wolverines return home Saturday to play UCLA next.
