Mississippi state judge, Robert Whitwell, an Ole Miss graduate, issued an injunction for Trinidad Chambliss to return to Oxford for one more season at Ole Miss Thursday evening. Chambliss’ camp argued that Chambliss missed the entire 2022 season at Ferris state due to illness, and this should make him eligible for a 6th year medical redshirt. The Grand Rapids product burst onto the college football scene this past year, leading Ole Miss to the college football playoff, and throwing for 362 yards in a comeback win over Georgia. The NCAA can still appeal today’s ruling.
