Taylor Decker took to Instagram Friday afternoon to announce that he requested to be released from the Lions. Decker, a first-round pick from Ohio State started 140 regular season games for the Lions at left tackle since 2016. The Lions were entering this offseason with a lot of questions on the offensive line, amongst other positions, and it will be interesting to see how general manager Brad Holmes operates this free agency and NFL draft season. Detroit also released veteran OL Graham Glasgow this week, leaving the team with Penei Sewell, and a lot of young, unproven talent around him.
NFL free agency officially begins Wednesday March 11th, with the draft following at the end of April.
